The Long Wait of the Ton Community: What’s Next?

The Ton community has been immersed in a period of expectation and hard work, known as the Long Wait. Since its establishment in June last year, Microcosm Labs has been fighting for its place in the TON ecosystem, and is proud to be one of the first contributors in Asia. This effort has led to the unveiling of TonUP, the first authentic Launchpad on the TON blockchain, launched in August, which was highlighted by its successful IDO for Tap Fantasy.

As the ecosystem evolves, the challenges have been constant, especially in the stage of convincing investors about the potential of the TON blockchain. With more than 800 million monthly active users, much of the experience gained from platforms like WeChat was borrowed to showcase the social network’s ability to transition to Web 3.

Ton Community Development

Throughout this time, important milestones have been reached, such as the integration of Telegram and TON through the implementation of Bots and Mini Apps, thus facilitating the migration of users from Web 2 to Web 3. Furthermore, the arrival of Tether (USDt) on TON promises to replace Tron as the leading public chain for stablecoin transfers.

New Projects and Features in the Long Wait

As we move into this new phase, several promising initiatives stand out:

• PixelSwap: A modular DEX co-incubated by Microcosm Labs, which will launch in beta on the mainnet later this month.
• Token Launches: TonUP will implement a more efficient and equitable token launch process using PixelSwap’s LBP feature, minimizing price volatility.
• Product Pipeline: More than a dozen products in the gaming, GameFi, DeFi, and AI categories are in development, with a commitment to help high-caliber projects roll out at TON this year.

Onboarding Initiatives and Future Stages

Another great news is the launch of the “Move to TON” grants, a collaboration between Microcosm Labs and TonUP, which aims to facilitate the incorporation of various projects on the TON platform. These types of initiatives not only enrich the ecosystem, but also demonstrate a commitment to the growth and sustainable development of the community.
